2-bit gray scale / 2-bit image
   A digital image with two bits allocated for the storage of each pixel, meaning four monochromatic colors are possible — a see thumbnail to right gray scale (or value scale) of four values. An earlier generation of Americans would think an image called 2-bit worth twenty-five cents.
